Ceramics has been for me a very therapeutic process and is currently a big part of my life. To be able to make something with my hands and develop new skills is a wonderful feeling, however what I think I get the most out of it is the design side of things and (for me) extreme focus needed for wheel throwing. Having to focus so much, as well as making smooth, strong fluid moments to shape and massage the clay into forms that I want is incredibly challenging and coming out of what almost feels like a trance and have something in front of you that was previously a lump of clay is incredibly rewarding. I am currently only taking commissions for custom pieces at this stage.
